Two Women’s Wrestling Feuds Reaching a Boiling Point

Starting the week off strong with Monday Night Raw and Wrestling Open RI. Tonight, Raw goes live from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY, while Wrestling Open returns live from the Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston, Rhode Island.

Lyra Valkyria vs. Sol Ruca

On the August 10th episode of Raw, Lyra Valkyria had some words for Sol Ruca following her win alongside IYO SKY. With both women looking to climb back into the Intercontinental Championship picture, tensions are beginning to boil over.

Their rivalry dates back to June, when Ruca defeated Valkyria in her first title defense. Since then, the tension between the two has continued to build. Now, Valkyria has once again taken aim at Ruca, reigniting their rivalry with championship implications hanging over both women.

With neither woman willing to back down, could this rivalry lead to another one-on-one showdown, and could the winner earn a shot at the Intercontinental Championship?

Kylie Alexa vs. Liviyah

Over at Wrestling Open, WWM has been following the growing feud between Women’s Champion Kylie Alexa and Liviyah. Their rivalry began on the August 3 episode when Liviyah challenged Kylie for the Wrestling Open Women’s Championship.

Liviyah came within reach of putting the champion away, but interference from Paris Van Dale shifted the momentum and gave Kylie the opening she needed to retain in her first title defense. While Kylie walked away with the championship, the finish left unfinished business between the two.

Their issues spilled over into last week’s six-woman tag team match, taking the rivalry beyond the championship match and adding another chapter to their feud. Liviyah has already shown she can push Kylie to the limit, but she still has to find a way to finish the job.

With the rivalry far from settled, could Liviyah force her way back into title contention and earn another opportunity, or will Kylie continue to cement herself as the woman to beat in Wrestling Open?
