Jaida Parker & Thea Hail vs. Nikkita Lyons & Karmen Petrovic

NXT kicked off with the first women’s match of the night as Jaida Parker and Thea Hail took on Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic. Wren Sinclair vs. NXT Women’s North American Champion Zaria WWE SPeed championship match

With a five-minute time limit and a future championship opportunity at stake, Wren Sinclair faced NXT Women’s North American Champion Zaria in one of the night’s most intriguing contests.

Zaria wasted little time asserting her dominance, charging at Sinclair immediately after the opening bell. Sinclair countered an early slam attempt and nearly stole the victory with a quick pin, but the champion kicked out.

Despite the obvious size advantage favoring Zaria, Sinclair controlled much of the early action through speed, technical wrestling, and well-timed takedowns. Every time Sinclair appeared to gain momentum, Zaria answered with her strength and physicality.

As the clock continued to wind down, Zaria’s aggressive offense slowed Sinclair’s pace and allowed the champion to regain control. Sinclair, however, refused to stay down and continued searching for openings, earning increasingly positive reactions from the crowd.

With less than a minute remaining, both competitors exchanged strikes in the center of the ring as Sinclair desperately looked to score the deciding fall. Time expired before either woman could secure the victory, resulting in a draw.

Because Sinclair survived the full five-minute challenge, she earned a future opportunity to challenge Zaria for the NXT Women’s North American Championship.

Kendal Grey vs. Lola Vice

Kendal Grey defended her championship against Lola Vice in a competitive match that showcased the contrasting styles of both competitors.

Vice entered to a relatively quiet reaction, while Grey received strong support from the NXT crowd. After briefly acknowledging one another with mutual respect, the bell rang and Vice struck first.

Grey quickly responded by displaying her grappling ability, securing several takedowns and briefly locking in an armbar before Vice escaped. Having faced each other before, both competitors anticipated one another’s offense, leading to several smooth counters and reversals.

Grey controlled much of the early portion of the match with her amateur wrestling background, but the momentum shifted once the action spilled to the outside. Vice countered a takedown attempt into a submission before driving Grey into the ring post.

Grey attempted to regain momentum by charging at Vice on the apron, but Vice swept her legs, sending the champion crashing into the steel steps.
